Is Movember over yet?

I had a great amount of FUD going into this month. A TON of Fear. A lot Uncertainty. And some serious Doubt. As I’ve mentioned, my man comes from a line of men who can grow some serious hair. I mean, anyone who can grow this, is to be a little bit scared of. (As a matter of fact, several people have told me that that picture is all kinds of scary.) But, it’s all for a good cause and nobody likes them some cancer so if a little hair will help kick cancers ass, then I’m all for it.

But I’d be lying if I said it was all terrible. I’ve seen some pictures of some Movember dudes who look like they walked off the set of some 70′s porno. Paul doesn’t look bad at all. The unruliness hasn’t appeared. As Courtney says, he has a hole in his chin. Still, I’ll be glad when we go back to our regularly scheduled chin.

A little terrified of my husband and what’s to be

Like many men, my husband is participating in Movember this month. What is Movember you ask? It’s a campaign to raise awareness and money for mens health issues, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. I believe that Paul’s involvement in Movember sprouted from some work time chatter and a group of people with the desire to do some good, stop shaving and terrify their spouses.

If you know my husband, or his dad, you know that Paul comes from a short (or long, I don’t really know) line of men that have some serious ability to grow some hair. I mean, SERIOUS hair. Paul normally sports a mustache/goatee that is super attractive but requires upkeep and grooming and maintenance. When Paul doesn’t shave for a while, things can get unruly. You know, maybe a little less attractive.

Last week Paul shaved his face clean. Courtney’s very confused about where his hair is and keeps asking Paul if he left it at work. I’m more concerned that what’s taking its place is this handlebar mustache thing. That he can’t shave for 30 days. Help me.

I don’t often ask for money on here but if you’re feeling giving, and maybe a little sorry for me, please consider giving to his Movember efforts. Because really, he needs to raise a TON of money so that we don’t have to do this again next year. See ya prostate cancer!! And in solidarity for his efforts, I too will quit shaving for the month of November. Although, really, that’s no different than any other month…

Apparently peek-a-boo isn’t always funny. It would appear that it’s funnier if it’s delivered by someone under 10. Otherwise, it’s completely terrifying.
