A sense of sewing accomplishment!

So check me out, I finished not one project but two this weekend!!  AND, one of them I started and finished yesterday. GO ME! OK, so they weren’t hugely complicated, either of them, but it feels so great to have started and finished something in the same month week weekend! I have 2 quilts in the works, neither of them I love, nor are they going anywhere.  One of them I haven’t touched in a month. But I will, I’ll get there.

I saw this on Pinterest and thought they were super cute. The pattern was free so I thought I’d give it a go. I like the bag and think it makes a great tote. The quilting I could take or leave but I like that it adds some thickness and some stand-up-ed-ness. Of course, you could use some interfacing for the same effect and not quilt it but it’s cute. It’s the perfect tote to put little ballet clothes in to take to and from class.

I’ve had the fabric for the scarf for months and have been dying to use it. This would make for an excellent cape or even a skirt but every time I see it, I think infinity loop scarf.  I don’t know why, that’s just what I see. This was super easy and while you can’t tell from my (horrible) picture, this is 5 different fabrics.  But I love how this will go with almost anything!

Please escuse my terrible pictures. While I did finish them last night, I didn’t get done until late and found myself taking pictures at 11 at night with my cell phone… I will definitely redo these!
