Courtney is nothing if not confident. And girly. And she loves dancing and ballet and, well, everything. (Except the food I make.) It is so amazing watching her take in the world, seeing all that’s new through her eyes.
On Friday night we went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for their new Holiday Light exhibit. I was super excited. I mean, I looove me some Christmas and Christmas music and all the hype and the love and the excitement. Courtney was excited to see the lights and Patrick was just along for the ride. Paul was less than excited, this wasn’t so much his thing. Whatever, it was awesome. Courtney was awesome. She loved it. She was taking it all in, loving the lights and the people and the caroling. She loved the music and the flashing lights that were shaped like trees. She loved it all. I loved it all. I may have been singing some song, along with the music, and tearing up a bit at the cheesiness of it all. So awesome.

Courtney was adamant about her outfit. She wanted to wear a tutu but it was a little too cold for that. So she insisted on wearing her yellow princess dress over that. I insisted she wear pants, so she’s wearing her red leggings under her tutus. And no outfit is complete without ones ladybug boots. But it’s still cold out so we’d need to bring a sweatshirt and this outfit isn’t complete without a blue and purple sweatshirt.

Oh to be young and not to care where you get the urge to break out into a dance and then dance your little heart out.

Love it!!!!!
Oh I love her outfit.
Hmmm…Botanical Gardens does lights too? I may need to see if ours does. We did the Zoo lights last year and it was great.
I want to wear a couple of tutus and some lady bug boots (and have no one stare at me and wonder why I am dressed like a three year old)!
