We are DONE with swimming! Well, almost. We’ll swim today and tomorrow but Courtney took her test yesterday and passed with flying colors. She kicked butt, I was so proud. And nervous for her. Tuesday she did a “dry” run – coat, long sleeve shirt, regular diaper, pants and shoes – which add at least 10 pounds to her little frame – and Wednesday she took her test. On Wednesday, the instructor didn’t say a word, not a peep. She simulated Courtney falling off the side, flipping over, and she even placed a wet towel over her face, which Courtney ripped right off. She swam from one side of the pool to the other (the short way), with all of those clothes on. And she was still all about the fish you can see in the video (this video is from the “dry” run on Tuesday). She floated, she swam and she even had fun doing it.
Seven weeks of my life, SO worth it! Go Courtney go!
WAY. TO. GO!!!!!! That is the cutest video ever. She’s soo small. I am sure it was trying at times but well worth it. Keep up those lessons, she’ll be a world class swimmer before you know it. My new favorite video.
