I don’t know Anissa personally, but I follow her on Twitter, I read her blog and I read Aiming Low, another blog that she runs with some others. I could follow her on Facebook too but I oddly feel like adding Facebook to the mix is not unlike stalking her. Which, you know, dumb. Face it, I’m already stalking her. Anyway… Anissa is a mom, a wife, a daughter and strong, independent, HYSTERICAL woman. Hysterical! Some of the stuff she comes up with on Twitter will make milk come out of your nose.
I admire Anissa’s strength and courage. Her daughter is a cancer survivor at the ripe old age of 5. I admire Anissa’s ability to be that wife, that mother, that independent, funny woman, all while not freaking out every minute over every little bump and bruise on Peyton’s little body. I admire her ability to not only be the mom of a cancer survivor, but to be a wonderful mom to all 3 of her small children. I admire her determination and conviction in rallying behind children’s cancer issues and awareness. I think she’s a miraculous woman.
Anissa had a major stroke yesterday. That beautiful, strong, independent woman, mother of three, loving wife and overall superwoman had a terrible, awful, terrifying thing happen to her and her family. My heart bleeds for them. I’m scared for her and terrified for her children and husband. I can’t imagine what her family and friends are going through. The updates on her condition are not reassuring. It seems fitting on this gray, wet, Atlanta day, that bad news would be delivered.
I don’t pray but if you do, please add Anissa to your prayers today. Or your positive vibes. Or your deep thoughts. Or whatever it is that you do. She could really use all of the goodness and hope and prayers of us all today.

Oh, my goodness! I’ve been off of twitter for 38 days and off of blogs for almost that long.
I had NO idea this was happening.
I’m praying for Anissa and her family.
