Eleven months. Eleven months since my baby girl has come into our world. Courtney has gotten so big, especially as of late.
And she’s talking up a storm. When we’re out, she says “Hi!” to everyone we see who’s under 4 feet tall. And she waves to all the kids. She has started saying “Hey!” quite a bit. When she throws her sippy cup on the floor or her food, I’ll say, “HEY!” She’s started saying that as well. She absolutely knows who Hunter is and says “hi doggy” to him and waves. You wouldn’t know that she’s saying, “hi doggy” if you didn’t live with her but trust me, she’s saying it.
She’s a little pig too. She’ll eat and eat and eat and when you think she can’t possibly consume any more, she’ll keep eating. She is like her mama and her dada in that she’ll eat her weight in pasta. She absolutely can’t get enough.
She is more and more curious with every passing day. She’s very interested in everything around her, she doesn’t want to miss anything. She’s always looking out the window, crawling all over the house, getting into everything. She’s much harder to “contain.” She doesn’t want to sit in her stroller, or the high chair, or the shopping cart. She wants to GO and she wants to stand and she does NOT want to be held back. Grocery shopping can be quite the chore and it’s not because she wants me to buy Oreo’s but because she wants to surf the cart as opposed to sit in it. (I suppose that’s because she’s her fathers child.)
For months we’ve gotten a pretty even split of, “She looks just like you” vs “She looks just like Paul.” We were both pretty “eh” about it, not seeing the resemblance to either of us. But yesterday Courtney wanted to look at my wallpaper picture on my phone. I don’t know what I was thinking, she looks just like her daddy.

Daddy's girl
11 months. In the blink of an eye. Just. Like. That.

July 1 - 7 1/2 months

July 23 - 8 months

A few days shy of 11 months. I'm pretty sure that this card table isn't getting shorter.

Higher ground needs to get higher and higher.
